New Gadget

I've always been a massive sucker for mobile phones. And going to Japan and Korea where they have some of the newest and coolest new phones does not help... so it was no suprise when i came back from Korea that I brang back their latest phone... the LG Optimus Vu.

Its meant to be the phone that rivals the Samsung Note. So far its awesome.. its got a huge screen( helps since im blind as a bat) and to top it off there is no release yet for australia... which means no one unless they have purchased it outright from korea will have this phone.  :)

1000 piece puzzle

Ahhh big update soon with the wedding and the honeymoon... but for now... this has what has been keeping up all night tonight. The husbands one piece puzzle.

4 or so hours into it and thats what we've done. My eyes hurt

Rant

Common sense, ahh such a wonderful thing I have, I admit at times I do seem to lack it but for the most part I think im pretty switched on.

So what do I have to rant about.. im ranting about 10 cents. BUT its not the 10 cents im ranting about, its the situation surrounding the 10 cents and the moron of the sales asistant that served me.

So i went to buy something for $3.60. I had a bit of coins in my wallet so i wanted to get rid of it so i gave the sales assistant a $5 note and 3 x 20 cent coins with the expectation of getting $2 change. Simple right?
apparently not.. she looked at me.. looked at the coins.. looked at the bag of goods... looked at the price.. and im thinking woman its $2 change what is wrong with you... she turns to the cash register... and comes back with $1.90.

Ive looked at it .. and went o.O politely told her i gave her $5.60 so i should have $2 change (i now have ended up with more coins than i intially wanted) She then argued with me to tell me i gave her $5.50 not $5.60.

Now here could be where i was wrong... i could potentially have mistaken one of the 20cents for a 10cents, BUT if i had done that.. and i had really did give her $5.50 ... then why on earth did she not return me the 50cents as soon as i had given it to her and told me i had given her too much money? Why would you turn around and put into the cash register $5.50 and return the customer $1.90 change and give them more coins? Wouldnt common sense tell you to let the customer know there was more money given than necessary???
Why would i be stupid enough to give someone $5.50 for something that only costs $3.60 without having a reason.

This exact same thing happened when i was in thailand with a gf of mine where the sales assistant takes off with more money given for an item than was necessary then continued to argue with us we had given her a different figure.

I remembered when i worked in retail i would always check over the money given.. and if it didnt make sense why they had given me excess notes/coins i would always return it to them first and only take what i need to put into the cash register, unless they specifically requested to exchange the notes/coins for something else.

I could not be bothered standing there argueing with her over 10cents so I gave her a death stare and walked off.

Morons.

Wedding 8 weeks to go

Its a bit scary to think the wedding is only about 8 weeks to go. All this planning and preparing done from 1 whole year back .. all the drama for just one day.

I'm lucky that we didnt have too much stress with the planning, if anything it has been quite breezy minus a few hiccups on the way and we were lucky that for the most part alot of the things we wanted were available so there was no stress in running around trying to find an alternative.

Reception

Our reception location took us a while to decide. at the end we went with the second choice as our first choice would have completed broken our budget. If money wasnt the issue i would have loved to have it at our first choice.

Suprisingly not many places in melbourne offer a reception that will allow you to have outside catering for a chinese banquet. Aside from the Chinese restaurants and the reception that every other asian family has a wedding at there were not many options to choose from.

So we went with the next best option, its close to home, the venue is very nice and the price was within our budget.

The cake

I think this was the one i was most excited to look at. I wanted a cake that was pretty and had bling and i completely fell in love with House of elegant cakes.

An idea of what my cake will look like, pretty much will look like this with a few minor adjustments.

It will look like the first picture but with a mor dusty pink colour like the second picture. I cant wait to see the cake when it arrives on the day!

Cars

Cars was a bit of an impulse decision, but im glad we decided to go with it. Originally we had decided on getting one limo for everyone and trying to get us all to fit in one car. But when we went to check out the cars we fell in love with these cars. Not sure if its the best idea now since the wedding is right in the middle of summer AND theres no air-conditioning in the cars.

But notheless they are very very nice cars. Maybe we'll invest in little hand fans for the bridal party to hold lol.

Renovating

I love renovating, gives me an excuse to put new pretty things in the house. We are opening up our study and turning it into an open study, the room we currently have is very small, not to mention gets very very warm during summer as the aircon can not reach ...

So with everyone on holidays and with the boys staying at our place over the festive season we decided to cash in on their free labour =)

So late saturday night we saw an ad for tv for First state Auctions. Its an auction for jewellery that has been seized by police, customs and jewellers that have closed down.

We decided to go check it out and im very glad we did because christmas came early for me :)

Jonny was a bit dissapointed as the item he wanted went for more than huh is set budget for it. But he ended up with a ring that he likes.

I went home getting a very sparkly tennis bracelet. Look at the sparkles! Went home with a massive smile on my face and a massive dent in my credit card!

Hayfever

Why must i suffer from wacky attacks of hayfever at the most inconvenient times.

My eyes are so watery, i feel like i am needing to sneeze constantly, my nose wont stop running. Omg im dying. Shoot me now

How cute are these jars. If only i actually drink alot of tea or coffee. Actually theres no tea in the tea jar. Theres milo. Its a pretend tea jar.
